Tipping in Israel

While many countries in Europe don’t require tipping, tipping in Israel is common and expected in all the same places as you would tip in America.

The going rate for tipping in Israeli restaurants and cafes is between 10-15%.

Of course, a generous tip is always appreciated.

Also, just like in the States, staff prefers to be tipped in cash, which is good to keep in mind, but it is still your call.

Since there usually isn’t a tip section on your receipt, if you ask to have it put on your credit card, the staff will usually ask you exactly how much you want them to add to your bill.
